Fun & Recreation for All
This has been more than a motto for Bay View’s Recreation Department for generations. The recreation program, including everything from sailing to tennis, provides something for everyone. The ever-popular Day Camp offers a safe, stimulating environment in which children participate in healthy, creative activities, developing life-long friendships. From mid-June to August, children participate in age-appropriate morning activities at Tot Lot (ages 3-4), Fawns (5-6), and Boys’ And Girls’ Club (7-14), located at Swift Field. Half-hour swimming lessons at the Bay View waterfront are also part of the daily schedule.
Whether you are visiting Bay View or live year round in the Petoskey area, the Bay View recreation program provides a fun and positive memory-making experience for children and those who are young at heart.

Boat House hours during the Bay View Season are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday thru Saturday and 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. on Sunday. Paddleboards and Kayak rentals available. Sunfish are available for rent to experienced sailors
Adult tennis programs run through the 8-week season. Everyone is invited to participate in the morning programs, which run weekdays at the Bay View Lake Courts. This includes men’s and women’s doubles, and mixed doubles everyday. Tennis at Bay View is for everyone at every level.
Pickleball is an engaging sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong.

Bay View Association’s Recreation Experience provides fun outdoor activities including board/boat lessons and rental, classes from tennis to crafts and a Boys and Girls club where mornings are filled with games and crafts and afternoons with swim lessons. There’s the Monday night Sam Spayde Hot Dog Roast and movie, a Shirt Shoppe for your favorite Bay View Bling and never-ending summer fun.
